Robin Williams' comedy tour, Weapons of Self-Destruction, has exploded onto the comedy scene, earning the comedian spectacular reviews, and is coming to the Knoxville Civic Auditorium on Saturday, April 11. The show will be in a special theatrical setting making for an intimate and memorable night. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 10 am at Tickets Unlimited. This is the legendary comedian's first tour in six years. For up-to-date tour and ticket information please visit www.RobinWilliams.com.
Gary Budzak of The Columbus Dispatch calls on Williams to do something for the country he clearly loves so much. "One way to break America's dependence on foreign oil would be to capture the laughter generated from Robin Williams' stand-up comedy shows," the newspaper decreed. "The laughs-per-minute from his show last night in the Palace Theatre probably were enough to power Downtown for a week."
The accolades continued, as Dave Tianen of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel hailed Williams' energy and performance. "He is still a kind of kinetic eruption, a nonstop verbal and physical explosion that keeps bursting before your eyes like an hour and 45 minute Chinese firecracker of comedic brilliance. After all these years, it may still be the most intense comedic anarchy you can buy a ticket for. Just the sheer bouncing-off-the-walls originality of it is stunning.
