North Carolina Jazz Festival

(This hotel is located on the East bank of the Cape Fear River, directly
in the midst of historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. Two
9-story towers offer a view of the river and the historic downtown
Wilmington area.)

This is a 3 day traditional jazz festival, held at the Wilmington
Hilton Riverside Hotel. All events are held in the ballroom in a
cabaret setting with tables of ten. The aim of the festival is to
preserve and present some of America's original classic music - JAZZ -
and we feature the style of jazz known as Traditional Jazz. The
musicians are internationally recognized as some of today's jazz
greats.

1,000 attendees expected.

This year we will present, on opening night, as our special feature,
“Lionel, Red, and Bunny – A Tribute to Lionel Hampton, Red Norvo, and
Bunny Berigan” with Ed Polcer – cornet & trumpet, Joe Ascione -
drums, John Cocuzzi – vibes & piano, Bucky Pizzarelli-guitar,
Wycliffe Gordon – trombone, Judy Kurtz - vocals, Houston Person -
saxophone, and Mike Weatherly - bass. (other musicians for that evening
to be announced)

Friday and Saturday evenings we will add to the all-star lineup
Nicki Parrott on bass and vocals, Rossano Sportiello on piano, Butch
Miles on drums, Anat Cohen on clarinet, and Randy Reinhart on trumpet
and trombone, for an exciting weekend of great jazz!
