Happy Holidays Remembered

Come experience the Nashville holiday traditions of the 1930s -1960s
through photographs, news articles and ads from the Nashville Banner
Archives and period collectibles of decorations, crafts, gifts and
toys. The excitement of going downtown to shop in your finest clothes,
the store windows with holiday displays, the Christmas Parade with high
school bands, lighting of the community tree, caroling for
contributions and of course the man with the bag, just to name a few!
Ladies: hat and gloves; Gentlemen: bow tie and crew cut – Gee, you’ll
think it’s swell! This exhibit makes its reappearance in the Courtyard
Gallery.
