Brilliant Night, Dazzling Lights
It may not be winter yet…but on November 14, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Bayshore
Town Center will be transformed into an illuminated wonderland, as the
lighting of the 50 foot tree symbolizes the official start of the
holiday season for the Town Center.
And, because one beautifully,
gigantic tree isn’t quite enough, Bayhore is thrilled to welcome Santa
on his first Bayshore appearance this holiday season. Of course,
visitors will be delighted at his arrival, but those who get to his
witness his entrance will be in store for a very, special treat. After
Santa’s entry, beginning at 6:15 p.m. the Boys and Girls Club Choir
will perform, followed by an acappella performance by the Tempters. At
6:30 p.m. the stunning production leading up to the lighting of the
tree will begin – toy soldiers on stilts, and snow fairies will lead
the way and entertain the crowds.
Once the tree has been lit, the Tempters will again croon to the crowd,
while guests may opt to partake of a variety of activities for folks in
attendance. At just $5.00 per ride, horse drawn carriages will be
available from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Fully anticipating a seasonally brisk Milwaukee evening, both Alterra
and Caribou Coffee have agreed to donate warm beverages to all
attending. Nut roasters will also be onsite providing warmed nuts to
any that want them. Cookies will be provided by Potbelly; ensuring that
the warm glow that starts with Santa’s arrival, will last until the end
of the event.
With everything that guests will receive while attending this event,
Bayshore encourages all visitors to continue in the spirit of giving,
and bring an unwrapped gift to donate to those less fortunate. The new
gifts should be age appropriate for children ages 6 to 18 years old,
and should be priced in the $10 - $15 range. The gifts will be
distributed to members of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater
Milwaukee.
As part of the on-going “Wrap Party: Give Joy, Give Hope, Give Back”
scheduled from November 14 until December 10 at Guest Services, the
Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee hopes to offer thousands of
local children the opportunity to have a Christmas gift to open and
enjoy. Local generosity will supply members of the 25 Boys & Girls
Club locations with age appropriate presents this holiday season.
