College Expo - Atlanta

In our continued effort to do what we can to give back to our communities as well as live up to our credo of being a “Yes We Can” Organization, CDTE has partnered with the organizers of the College Expo, to 'bring" interested high school students and their parents; high school graduates who are interested in furthering their education; as well as older students who are interested in returning to school to further their education, to the upcoming “[Black] College Expo”, taking place in College Park, MD and Atlanta, GA

What Is the College Expo?
The College Expo brings HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), and other colleges and universities to major venues across the country providing high school and college students with a unique educational and entertaining experience during which many students are admitted to colleges on the spot.

There is also a Career Recruitment Pavilion, featuring top companies looking to recruit college-bound students - of all ages! They will also have a “Think Green Pavilion” which educates the community on preserving our planet and the dangers of global warming, soil erosion, fossil fuel dependency, and chemical contamination to our land and water. During the tour they directly engage over 100,000 diverse high school and college students and their parents.

The “After Show” includes a Scholarship Presentation, a KFC Step Show, featuring high school and Greek step teams, a Dance Competition, and at times, surprise celebrity guests and musical performances.

Students and their parents have a chance to engage in seminars like “How to Find Money for College”, “Hot Careers”, and more.
